Gustavo Gimeno rounds off the 2020/21 season with Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg in a series of concerts across Europe. On 30 July the orchestra travels to Amsterdam to perform two concerts in the Concertgebouw, with soloist Yuja Wang performing Mozart’s Piano Concerto No.20, K466, followed by Dvorak’s Symphony No.8.
The orchestra continues to Quincena Musical de San Sebastián on 1 and 2 August, performing two programmes of Mozart, Dvorak, Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony, Ligeti’s Concert Românesc, and Liszt’s Piano Concerto No.1, and on 3 August travels to Festival Internacional Santander. For the final concert on 4 August, the orchestra is joined by Julian Rachlin for Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, Op. 64.
