I am deeply sorry to announce that our concerts with the Orchestra of the 18th Century and Alexander Melnikov starting on the 14th of March in Rotterdam (tag all the concert halls) and finishing in Utrecht on the 22nd of March have been cancelled due to regulations in light of Covid-19.
We have already been rehearsing and were much looking forward to bring some music to you, but in light of the safety measure put in place, this is not possible. Let’s hope for better times soon and please take care everyone!

On March 14, Gustavo Gimeno and the Orchestra of the 18th Century will embark on a tour of the Netherlands, with one concert in Oviedo, Spain. Together with pianist Alexander Melnikov, they will perform Schumann’s Manfred Overture, his expressive Piano Concerto in A Minor and his Symphony No. 3 “The Rhenish” in Rotterdam, Arnhem, Amsterdam and Utrecht. For the Oviedo concert, Schumann’s demanding Cello Concerto in A Minor – with cellist Pieter Wispelweij – will replace the Piano Concerto.
