As September approaches, a new season is about to begin, once more filled with plenty of highlights for Gustavo. For a start, he will debut with the Houston Symphony on their prestigious opening night on 8 September. The concert features a longstanding musical companion of Gustavo, pianist Yuja Wang, who presents Ravel’s “Concerto for the left hand”. Following concerts in September include the first appearance with his Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg and violin virtuoso Leonidas Kavakos, starring in Stravinsky’s Violin concerto.
Throughout the season, further debuts with the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Seattle Symphony or the London Philharmonic Orchestra await; with Verdi’s “Rigoletto”, Gustavo will debut at the Zurich Opera and conduct several performances of the piece with the OPL in Paris and Luxembourg. He will furthermore continue collaboration with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Vienna Symphony and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra – exciting times to come!
