Gustavo Gimeno is back in Toronto to work the TSO. After a mandatory quarantine filled with virtual meetings, Gimeno has been spending two weeks with the orchestra rehearsing and recording at Roy Thomson Hall. “It is a great opportunity to reconnect with the TSO family and our loyal donors”, says Gimeno. “But I am especially happy to be able to make music again with my colleagues, the beloved musicians of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra.” His stay will culminate in two recorded performances for donors and close friends of the orchestra: On March 9, Gimeno and the TSO will live-stream a concert containing music by Beethoven and Kelly-Marie Murphy. March 11 will see a live-streamed performance of works by Beethoven and Barbara Croall.
