Gustavo Gimeno Premieres Coll’s Ciudad sin sueño with London Philharmonic Orchestra

Gustavo Gimeno and Javier Perianes present the world premiere of Francisco Coll’s Ciudad sin sueño fantasia for piano and orchestra with London Philharmonic Orchestra on 16 February at Royal Festival Hall.

The programme opens with Stravinsky’s Scherzo fantastique and the world premiere of Francisco Coll’s Ciudad sin sueño. After the interval, Perianes returns to the stage to perform Falla’s Noche en los jardines de España. The evening closes with Stravinsky’s suite The Firebird, which you can listen to on Spotify.

Gustavo Gimeno and Javier Perianes present the Canadian premiere of Ciudad sin sueño on 28 and 29 February with Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Ciudad sin sueño was co-commissioned by London Philharmonic Orchestra, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonieorchester Basel, and Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía. The work is dedicated to Javier Perianes.
